Bandhanaya

Bandanaya (Sinhala: බන්ධනය), is a 2017 Sri Lankan Sinhala horror film[2] directed and produced by Udayakantha Warnasuriya. Musical score was done by Nadun Rathnayake.[3] It stars Cyril Wickramage, Hemal Ranasinghe, Dulani Anuradha in lead roles along with Suvineetha Weerasinghe, Nilmini Tennakoon and Ravindra Yasas.[4][5] The film was released in 50 CEL circuit cinemas in addition to 12 cinemas which screen the movie in 3D format.[6] It is noted for being presented in black-and-white monochrome.

The film trailer was released in October 2016.[7][8] The opening screening was held in Regal Theatre, Colombo.[9] It is the 1273rd Sri Lankan film in the Sinhala cinema.[10]

Plot

Bandhanaya is woven around two families living in a remote village in our country. Two Kattadiyas or Witch Doctors in these families known as Dingirala and Menikhami happen to be cousins. After a rift over inheritance of their ancestral property, they become foes. Menikhami arouses demons to demonstrate his ability to deal with the occult and finally by using a zombie, he kills his cousin Dingirala. Rift between the two families heightens. Suddenly a little child in one family is possessed by a ferocious demon and the story takes a new turn. (http://www.dailynews.lk/2017/04/05/entertainment/112458/demon-invades-local-cinema) සිදුවීම් සිදුවන්නේ 1932 දුර ඈත ගමක ය. මැණික්හාමි දක්ෂ යකැදුරෙකි. ඔහුගේ පියාගේ සහෝදරයා ගේ පුතා වන ඩිංගි රාළ සහ සහ මැණික්හාමි අතර ඉඩකඩම් සඳහා ආරවුලක් ඇති වෙයි. මැණික් හාමි බන්ධනයක් මගින් තම ඥාති සහෝදරයා මරා දමන අතර එයට එකට එක කිරීම සඳහා ඔහුගේ පුතා වන විමලසිරි, මැණික්හාමිගෙ අත්උදව් කාරයා වන සියදෝරිස්ව මරණයට පත් කරයි. මැණික්හාමිගේ දුව වන පියසීලිගේ සහ ජයසෝම ගේ දියණිය සුමනාට නයෙක් දෂ්ට කරන්නේ මේ අතර ය. වෙන යා හැකි තැනක් නැති බැවින් සුමනාව බෙහෙත් කිරීම සඳහා රැගෙන යන්නේ මැණික්හාමි ළඟටම ය. ඔහු නයි විෂෙන් ඇයව සුව කරන නමුත් වෙනත් බන්ධනයක් මගින් පිල්ලියක් ඈ හට ඇතුලු කරයි. ජයසෝම යාපනයේ බේකරියක වැඩ කරමින් සිටින අතර දුවට නයෙක් දෂ්ට කළ කාරණාව දැනගෙන නැවත ගමට පැමිණෙයි. නයි විෂෙන් සුවවී ගෙදර ආවද සුමනා විකෘති ගති ලක්ෂණ පළ කරයි. තමා සුරතලයට හැදූ හා පැටියා ඈම මරාගෙන කනවා හසුවන්නේ විමලසිරි ටය. මෙයින් බයටත් ශෝකයටත් පත් වන පවුලේ අය තමන් දන්නා තැනක ස්වාමීන් වහන්සේ නමක් වඩමවා සුමනාව පරික්ෂා කරයි. ඒ අවස්ථාවේදී මේ ස්වාමීන් වහන්සේට ඇගේ හිසේ ගසා ඇති ඇණය හසුවන නමුත් ඒ ගැන කිසිවක් නොවදාරා ඊළඟ කෙම්මුර දවසට පැමිණෙන බව සඳහන් කරයි. ඉන් පසු නිවසේ නොයෙක් දේවල් සිද්ධ වෙන අතර මේ සියල්ල ම සුමනාට වැහි ඇති දුෂ්ටාත්මය මගින් කරන බව පැහැදිලි වෙයි. කෙම්මුර දවසට එක දිනක් තිබියදී ජයසෝම, විමලසිරි සමග වැව් තාවුල්ලේ කතාබහ කරමින් සිට නැවත ගෙදරට යයි. ගෙයි මිදුලට පිවිසෙන විටම ඔහු දකින්නේ පියසීලිගේ ආත්තම්මාව ගෙල කපා මරා දමා ඇති ආකාරය යි. මෙයින් භීතියට පත්වන ඔහු ගේ පුරා සෙව්වත් ඔහුගේ භාර්යාව වත් දුව සුමනාවවත් සොයා ගැනීමට නොහැකි වන අතර හමුවන්නේ පුතාව පමණි. සිදු වූ දේ විස්තර කරන පුතා පවසන්නේ අත්තම්මා නංගි ගේ හිස අතගාමින් සිටින අතරතුර හිසෙහි තිබී කට්ටක් අරන් දැමූ බවත් එයින් පසු යම් කිසිවක් පැමිණ අත්තම්මා ව මෙසේ අනතුරට පත් කළ බවත් අම්මා හා නංගි ද මැණික් හාමිගේ ගේ දෙසට දුවගෙන ගිය බවත් ය. ජයසෝමද එම නිවසට දිව ගෙන යන අතර එහි දී කුමක් සිදු වෙයි ද?
