Banana Island (Qatar)

Banana Island[1] (Arabic: جزيرة الموز) is a small island in Qatar.[2] Its territory is crescent-shaped and is located off the coast of the capital city of Doha. It is an artificial island in the Persian Gulf. Anantara's Banana Island Resort Doha was built there.[3]

The island covers 13 hectares (0.13 square kilometers) and has its own marina and reefs. The entire structure was completed by 2015.[4] It has diverse vegetation such as palm trees and gardens and luxurious facilities to receive visitors[1]
