Backpacking Light Magazine

Backpacking Light magazine was founded in early 2001 by Alan Dixon and Ryan Jordan.[1] It was founded as an online periodical. It has articles written by scientists and engineers with an interest in dispelling myths about outdoor gear.

Backpacking Light magazine has developed outdoor leadership training programs for Boy Scouts of America, Search and Rescue Organizations, and recently, the National Outdoor Leadership School.[2][3][4][5][6]
