Babu Saheb

Babu Saheb (or Babu Sahib) is a term or sobriquet[1] used mainly in the Indian states of Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh[2] and Jharkhand to describe members of theRajput caste[3] who traditionally formed part of the feudal elite.[4][5][6] The term is used interchangeably with Thakur.[7] Many songs in the Bhojpuri language use the term to glorify the Rajput caste and these have garnered controversy.[8]
