B. Sai Kumar

B. Sai Kumar was a board member of News Broadcasters Association for the year 2011-2012[1] and the CEO of TV18 Group.[2] Earlier he was its COO[3] According to Ajita Shashidhar "(at 35) he was regarded as the most promising young leader of the Indian media industry when he was elevated to the position of COO of media company Network 18 in 2005."[2]

Sai spent over 14 years with the group. Over the years he was responsible for the creation and management of the Group's various ventures – from the business news network in partnership with CNBC-TV18, to general news in partnership with CNN, to the Group's entertainment foray in partnership with Viacom, the infotainment play with A+E Networks, besides leading Network 18's digital forays. He also help set up the Group's distribution foray – Indiacast in partnership with Viacom. He was also on the board of the Group's various joint ventures. In his role as Group CEO, Sai charted out the company's business turnaround and return to profitability. In October 2015, Kumar founded and launched an online entertainment content platform called Arré along with his former Network 18 colleagues Ajay Chacko and Sanjay Ray Chaudhuri through their joint-venture digital media company, UDigital.[4][5]
