Argentina Fans Kattoorkadavu is a 2019 Indian Malayalam-language film directed by Midhun Manuel Thomas, starring Kalidas Jayaram and Aishwarya Lekshmi in leading roles.[1] The film is written by Ashokan Cheruvil, John Manthrickal and Midhun Manuel Thomas. The film's musical score was composed by Gopi Sunder. It was released on 22 March 2019.This movie was a box-office disaster.[2]

Synopsis

As the title says, the story revolves around Argentina fans in Kaattoorkadavu, a village near Thrissur. The protagonist Vipinan (Kalidas Jayaram) is a diehard fan like his friend Suni (Aneesh Gopal) while their childhood friend Mehrunisa (Aishwarya Lekshmi), whom Vipinan deeply loves, is a Brazil fan. The story moves through various World Cups as well as stages of Vipinan's life. He manages to confess his love to Mehru multiple times but she turns him down. Along with their friendship, they also have a huge rivalry being Argentina and Brazil fans respectively. Then there are supporters of Portugal and Germany, and the many sweet revenge stories and betrayals form the rest of the story.[3]
