ACGE focus is to blend the current K-pop image with international trends that are beyond the Korean social and creative boundaries in order to appeal better to the emerging global K-pop market mainly by promoting artists for their personality.[2]

In order to better describe their vision, they have declared a subgenre of K-pop called "Global K-pop", attempting to create products specifically tailored for the peculiar taste of international K-pop fans. In the process of doing so they will attempt to create groups that include non-Asian members. All their releases will be bilingual (English and Korean) and distributed both internationally and to the Korean market.[2]

History

ACGE started in 2009 as a non-commercial Korean pop content creator and it soon built a significant subscription base on YouTube and other platforms mainly thanks to their Areia Remix brand which features remixed versions of popular Korean songs.

As soon as 2011 ACGE was involved with the production of original music for various international artists.[3] In 2012 they will co-operate with K-pop company Trophy Entertainment and will assist in the production of two singles for their artist Andamiro: Hypnotize[4][5] and Waiting.[6][7] The same co-operation will result in the first official Areia Remix, Chi-Chi's Love Is Energy.[8] In December 2012, a crowdfunding campaign that raised about $15,000 helped in the upgrade of Areia Creation's Seoul based recording studio[9] and led to the registration of the company.

Artists

In September 2013 ACGE has announced Rydia, the first female solo artist to debut under the company in mid 2015.[10] In March 2014 a Korean Australian solo artist, Hany Lee was announced also set for a debut in early Summer 2015. In January 2015[11] the artist "Roh Siena" was signed and a Music Video release of her followed later that year.[12] As of July 13, the contract has been terminated for Hany Lee.[13] During 2017, ACGE has collaborated and released singles and music videos with the independent artists and groups FMT,[14][15] AMAX,[16] BOSS[17] and LIAH.[18] On January 5, 2018, ACGE has announced their collaboration with the Korean female solo artist Lily Pink[19] who was previously known as Sally of the now disbanded girl group Unicorn.
