April Boy Regino

April "Boy" Regino (born Dennis Regino Magloyuan Magdaraog on April 9, 1969) is a recording artist from the Philippines who popularized some of the novelty songs "Paano Ang Puso Ko", "Umiiyak Ang Puso" and "Di Ko Kayang Tanggapin" during the 1990s and is known for his trademark caps.[2]

Early life

He is the oldest of three brothers, all musicians. His brothers, Vingo and Jimmy, are members of the novelty group April Boys. They were all born in Marikina City but traces their roots from Sawang Capul Northern Samar.

He is married to Madel Regino..

Music career

He migrated to the United States and is now based there as an entertainer to the Filipino-American community. More recently he was a contract recording artist with Viva Records.

He also did a Tagalog and English cover version of the song いとしのエリー(Itoshi no Ellie) renaming it "Honey My Love So Sweet".

In 2015 after a year off, Regino returned to music with his brand new album and a new music company, GMA Records.[3]

Health

In 2014, April Boy quit show business after he was diagnosed with prostate cancer. He revealed in an interview in Startalk that he is "cancer-free", yet he suffered from a heart ailment afterward.[3]

In 2015, Regino was diagnosed with Diabetic retinopathy which caused him to lose his sight in his left eye.
