Anthony S. Manera

Anthony Manera was President of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation from 1993 to 1995. He joined the CBC as Vice-President of Human Resources in 1985 and was appointed Senior Vice President in 1986. He resigned from the Presidency of the CBC in 1995 as a protest against government cuts to the Corporation.[1]

Before joining the CBC, Manera was an electrical engineer and had worked in the US defence industry. He served as President of Niagara College from 1972 to 1978 and as President of Vancouver Community College from 1978 to 1985.

He was a member of the board of governors at the Ottawa Hospital, the Ottawa Public Library, and Opera Lyra Ottawa.
