Anthony Azizi

Anthony Azizi (born Kamal Rowshan; May 29, 1969) is an American television actor known for playing Omar Idris on Lost and for his role in the film Eagle Eye.

Biography

Born in New York City of Iranian descent, Azizi attended Freedom High School and Muhlenberg College. He is mainly known for his television work. He has had recurring roles on 24 as terrorist Mamud Faheen (Season 2), on 24 as Rafique (Season 4) and on Commander in Chief as presidential aide Vince Taylor. Azizi was also a regular on Threat Matrix.

He also is of the Bahá’i Faith.

He guest-starred on Single Ladies, Person of Interest (TV series), Criminal Minds, CSI: Miami, JAG, Gilmore Girls, The Shield, Sons of Anarchy, NYPD Blue, The West Wing, Veronica Mars, Desperate Housewives, Lost, Prison Break, The Mentalist, Leverage, NCIS, The Blacklist and Chuck.

Personal life

Azizi is a Baháʼí.[1]

He married actress Cymbeline Smith in 2000, and were separated as of March, 2010. Azizi is a co-founder of the Noor Iranian Film Festival started in 2007.
