Anna-Maja Kazarian

Anna-Maja Kazarian (born 7 January 2000) is a Dutch chess player who holds the title of FIDE Master (FM, 2015) and Woman International Master (WIM, 2017).

Biography

She was born in a family who arrived in the Netherlands from Georgia. Anna-Maja Kazarian became interested in chess at the age of six. She was twenty-time winner of the Dutch Girls' and Youth Chess Championships.[1] Anna-Maja Kazarian participated in European Youth Chess Championships and World Youth Chess Championships. In 2012 in Prague she won silver medal in European Youth Chess Championship in Girls U12 age category and gained her Women FIDE Master (WFM) title.[2] In 2015 in Poreč she won European Youth Chess Championship in Girls U16 age category.[3]

Anna-Maja Kazarian played for the Netherlands in the Women's Chess Olympiads:

Anna-Maja Kazarian played for the Netherlands in the European Team Chess Championships:[5]

  • In 2015, at reserve board in the 11th European Team Chess Championship (women) in Reykjavik (+5, =2, -1) and won individual bronze medal,
  • In 2017, at reserve board in the 12th European Team Chess Championship (women) in Crete (+1, =2, -2).[6]

In 2015, she was awarded the FIDE Master (FM) title and received the FIDE Woman International Master (WIM) title two year later.[7]
