Angela Ammons

Angela Ammons (born January 11, 1983, in Austin, Texas) is a singer and songwriter.

Career

Ammons began her career singing karaoke. A few years later, she moved to Nashville, Tennessee and signed a contract with Universal Records.

Her self-titled album was completed and released in September 2001.[1]

Ammons took early influences from artists including The Beatles, Alanis Morissette, Fiona Apple, Shirley Manson, and Aerosmith.[1]

Ammons' song "Always Getting Over You" was featured in the teen-comedy film American Pie 2, and the subsequent CD soundtrack. Another of her tracks, "When It Doesn't Matter", was featured in the motion picture Save the Last Dance.

Ammons' music is often compared to Jessica Simpson, Natalie Imbruglia and Sheryl Crow.

Personal life

Ammons married Cameron Parrish, a Tennessean with a business in the Caribbean, on June 8, 2003. She currently resides in Miami, Florida, with her husband and three children. She works as a photographic artist and destination wedding photographer.
