Ampthill Tunnel
Ampthill tunnel is a railway tunnel at Ampthill on the London Midland region between Bedford and Flitwick.

The Sheffield Daily Telegraph reported that the tunnels were 759 yards (694 m) long on completion.[1]
Between June 1893[2] and 1895 a second tunnel was constructed alongside, to allow the widening of the Midland Main Line from two tracks to four.
