alt.gothic

alt.gothic is a Usenet newsgroup hosting discussion of the goth subculture. It was an early net.goth forum, and the birthplace of the Convergence festival. The Routledge companion to Gothic describes alt.gothic as a way for the Net.goth community to be able to truly be themselves.[1]
