Career

Alizzz' career started in 2012 with the release of the single 'Neon Lights' (MofoHifi,[7] when he proved his ability to combine bass, maximalist synths and a new wave of samples and rhythm changes. The single was quickly followed by the 'Loud EP' (MofoHifi, 2012[8]) which succeeded in placing him squarely on the international scene. In 2013 he started the year with a new remix for the Spanish label Arkestra of 'En otra ciudad' by TiMOTi, 'Collapse EP[9]' for MofoHifi Records[10] and 'Whoa! EP' for Arkestra.[11] At the end of 2013 he signed to Diplo's label Mad Decent[12] where he released the 'Sunshine Ep'[13] on the labels imprint Jeffre's and began touring internationally.[14] In 2015 he released the single 'Your Love'[15] on the USA label Moving Castle. Alizzz has toured Europe, Japan (2014) and Australia (2015), with follow up EP 'Ascension' on Moving Castle and his first self release, the hip hop collaboration, Ocean Drive.

In 2016 Alizzz began collaborations with C Tangana[16] and Rosalia, writing and recording "Antes de Morirme[17]" and ‘Llámame más tarde[18]’. From here the collaboration continued to encompass C Tangana's debut album ÍDOLO,[19] for which production and recordings were made between September 2016 and June 2017. In June 2017 Mala Mujer was released and received 3xPlatinum in Spain.[20]

In June 2018 Alizzz headlined Barcelona Sonar festival's 25yr addition.[21] To date Alizzz has achieved a total of 2 Diamond, 19 platinum and 9 gold certified recordings internationally.

Record label

In January 2019 Alizzz launched a record label in partnership with Warner Records Spain, called Whoa! Music,[22] the concept of the label being to develop and release avant garde Spanish and Latin American artists, artists on the label include Alizzz,[23] Paula Cendejas,[24] Coral Casino[25] and Robie[26]
