Albela (actor)
Akhtar Hussain Albela was a Pakistani actor and comedian. Albela died of a heart failure at age 63 in Lahore on 17 July 2004.[1][3]

Early life and career
Albela was born in Gojra, Punjab, Pakistan in 1940. Albela came to Lahore at a very young age to become an actor. He performed in numerous films, television and theater plays in his career spanning over 50 years.[1] Some of his hit Punjabi films were Bharia Mela (1966), Badnam (1966), Baoo Ji (1968) and Ishq Nachaway Gali Gali (1984).[1]
Now, his son, Honey Albela is working in Khabaryar TV show, hosted by Aftab Iqbal on Aap TV. Albela is widely recognized as a stage actor who transformed Pakistani stage acting.[2]
Death and legacy
Before his death, Albela was admitted to the Ittefaq Hospital, Lahore, when he had heart and liver problems. All his treatment expenses were paid by the family of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.[1] Albela is survived by a wife, two sons and 7 daughters.[1]
