Al-Haris Al-Maliki
Al-Haris Al-Maliki (Arabic: فريق الحرس الملكي, lit. 'Royal Guards'), was an Iraqi football team based in Baghdad. They participated in the first ever official national championship held in Iraq: the 1949 Iraq FA Championship.[1] They also won the first seven editions of the Iraq Central FA League, the top-tier league for teams from central Iraq between 1948 and 1973.[2] This makes them the most successful team in the competition's history.
