Al-Awazem

Al-Awazem (Arabic: العوازم‎; also spelled azmi and awazm) is a large Sunni tribe.

Al Awazem is an influential tribe in Kuwaiti politics. The tribe has an especially strong base in the first electoral district (in the Kuwait City metropolitan area) and the fifth electoral district (in the south of the country), where it accounts for about 20% of voters.
