Akbar Askani

Mir Akbar Askani is a Pakistani politician who was elected twice as a Member of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan, from May 2013 to till today. Mir Akbar Askani has been elected two times as a member of Balochistan Assembly, in 2013 he contested in the general elections affiliated with Pakistan Muslim League (N) from PB-50 (Mand, Dasht, Tump) and in 2018 general elections affiliated in Balochistan Awami Party from PB-48 (Tump cum Nasirabad), Balochistan Awami Party is the ruling party of Balochistan where the party won majority seats from all over Balochistan and set to form a Government with the coalition parties. In 2013 tenure Mir Akbar Askani has served the ministry of Fisheries and Mine and Natural resources While currently, he is having the fisheries ministry. Mir Akbar Askani is one of the youngest politicians in Balochistan's political history. He has become a member of the Balochistan Assembly. He has much popularity among the youngsters in district Kech and has many supporters in his constituencies. He has a high network team in Quetta Askani House and Turbat Askani House where their team members are engaged to make sure the support of PB-48 workers. Askani House Turbat committee is responsible to highlight the public issues and to discuss with Mir Akbar Askani and to solve them.

Early life

He was born on the 1st January, 1982 in Mand (Kech District).[1]

Political career

He was elected to the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan as a candidate of Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) from Constituency PB-50 Kech-III in 2013 Pakistani general election.[2][3] He received 1,385 votes and defeated a candidate of National Party.[4]

In May 2013, he was elected as the Vice President of PML-N Balochistan.[1]

In December 2014, Balochistan High Court disqualified him to hold the membership of Provincial Assembly of Balochistan.[5]

He was re-elected to Provincial Assembly of Balochistan as a candidate of Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) from Constituency PB-48 (Kech-IV) in 2018 Pakistani general election.[6]
