Akbar Abdi

Akbar Abdi (Persian: اکبر عبدی, born 26 August 1960 in Tehran, Iran) is an Iranian actor and comedian.[2] Abdi first became known through a children TV series ("I am late again for school"). Abdi is of Iranian Azerbaijani descent from Ardabil.[3]

He began his career in 1981 with the children’s TV series “The Traffic Neighborhood”, directed by Dariush Moadebian. His main credits include “The Actor”, “Delshodegan” and “The Snowman". He also acted in the film "Ejareh-Nesheenha" (The Tenants).[4]

Abdi went through Kidney transplant in June 2016.[5] He has been criticized for anti-Semitic remarks.[6]
