Akashic Re:cords

Akashic Re:cords (Japanese: アカシックリコード, Hepburn: Akashikku Rikōdo) is a Japanese role-playing video game developed by Square Enix and Kadokawa Games for Android and iOS platforms,[1] which was first released on November 10, 2016.[2] The game was initially described that "your imagination will become creations."[3] The plot revolves a group of people that have signed a contract with the devil in order to regain the World of Books after it got invaded by the "Silverfish".[1]

In the game, the player takes the role of a male "Creator" who fights with his partners in battle. Akashic Re:cords features a Turn-Based system, and allows player to summon devils, each with a "genre": "Light Novel", "Otome", "SF", "Horror", "Mystery", and "Fantasy",[4] to fight against monsters or fellow players in a real time match. It also features an array of summons illustrated by various artists.[5]

Development

A teaser site was first opened in August 2016 by Square Enix,[3] and it was later revealed to be a collaboration project with Kadokawa Games. The staff includes Nakaharu as character designer, Shunsaku Yano as the writer, and Ryo Mizuno.[6] The group band The Oral Cigarettes perform the game's theme tune entitled "Catch Me".[1]

Protagonist (主人公, Shujinkō)
Voiced by: Natsuki Hanae
The player takes the role of the protagonist, a Creator. Unlike other creators, he does not have the ability to create characters, but will be able to summon them as you progress with the story. In the light novel version, his name is Akifumi Katakura (片倉 彰文, Katakura Akifumi).
Lyla (ライラ, Raira)
Voiced by: Ai Kakuma
The first Character to be summoned by the hero. Due to memory loss, she isn't sure what kind of "genre" she is.
Kōtarō Kai (甲斐 浩太郎, Kai Kōtarō)
Voiced by: Kaito Ishikawa
The protagonist's classmate who is involved with the incident alongside him. He is in the attempt to submit the light novel he wrote.
Amirika (レディドラキュラ アーミリカ)
Voiced by: Hiromi Igarashi
The heroine of Kōtarō's work Lady Dracula, who later becomes his partner. Amirika's genre is "Light Novel" and she is designed by Ponkan8.
Karin Ōtori (鳳 かりん, Ōtori Karin)
Voiced by: Sumire Uesaka
A girl who writes in the otome genre story is ranked top among other similar genres. Her masterpiece work is titled Byakuran no Sanjūshi.
Darutanian (ダルタニアン)
Voiced by: Kengo Kawanishi
The protagonist of Karin's work Byakuran no Sanjūshi who later becomes her partner. Darutanian's genre is "Otome" and he is designed by Utako Yukihiro.
Tōsuke Watari (甲渡 藤助, Watari Tōsuke)
Voiced by: Tomokazu Sugita
A man who criticises works of Science fiction on his blog.
Gokū

Gokū's "genre" is "SF" and she is illustrated by Suzuhito Yasuda.
Orizuru Misaki (御崎 折鶴, Misaki Orizuru)

A middle school girl who often posts horror stories.
Kaguya (カグヤ)
Voiced by: Ayana Taketatsu
A character summoned by Orizuru. A store owner in the work called Yūgetsu-dō Kaikitan. Kaguya's genre is "Horror" and she is designed by Ochigo.
Jirel (ジレル, Jireru)
Voiced by: Mikako Komatsu
A girl who acts as a model and cosplayer. Fan of Creature Hunter Alicegawa, protagonist from the fantasy work Fushigi no Kuni no Creature Hunter.
Alicegawa (有栖川, Arisugawa)
Voiced by: Yoko Hikasa
The main character of Fushigi no Kuni no Creature Hunter. Alicegawa's genre is "Fantasy" and she is designed by Miyagi.
Satoru Rikuhara (陸原 智, Rikuhara Satoru)
Voiced by: Takahiro Sakurai
A man who is studying human intelligence at university.
Chihiro Homura (穂村 千尋, Homura Chihiro)
Voiced by: Ai Kayano
A girl who appears in a fragmentary memory of the protagonist.
Arsène Lupin (アルセーヌ・ルパン, Arusēnu Rupan)
Voiced by: Akio Ōtsuka
A Character who is summoned but rather moves independently. Arsène's genre is "Mystery" and he is designed by toi8.
Book's Devil (本の悪魔, Hon no Akuma)
Voiced by: Jōji Nakata
The administrator of the website "Akuma no Shoka". He is designed by Lack.
