Song information

Both the single and video received very little airplay on radio, MTV, BET and VH1, explaining why the song failed to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Instead, it reached the Bubbling Under chart, peaking at No. 12 (equivalent to No. 112 on the Hot 100). The single also peaked at No. 110 in Australia.[2] The song features background and supporting vocals from the group Color Me Badd. The single became Abdul's first single that failed to enter the Hot 100. Strangely enough the song was a huge smash at the number one CHR/TOP 40 station in Kansas City (KMXV). It was the number one song on their playlist for nearly two months and the radio station was quoted saying "it was their most requested song of all time."

Abdul performed the song only once at "The Tonight Show" with Jay Leno.
