Ahmad Majid
Ahmad Majid (Bengali: আহমদ মজিদ, romanized: Ahmod Mojid, Persian: احمد مجید), was a Faujdar of Mughal Bengal's Sylhet Sarkar during the reign of Emperor Aurangzeb and governorship of Subahdar Azim-ush-Shan.[1] In 1699, Majid granted some land to Bharat Das Vaishnav in Dulali Pargana - named after Dulal Khan, Zamindar of Shahbazpur.[2] Dulali was the home of Syed Shah Subhan ad-Din - the brother of Syed Ahmad Damri Pir. The land was inherited by Bharat's son Bhabananda Vaishnav.[3] His successor was Faujdar Abdullah Shirazi.[4]
