Agtech

Agtech is the application of new digital technologies with the intention of rapidly improving how efficiently activities at the different stages of agricultural value chains are conducted. Agtech is also seen to represent the application of technology – especially software and hardware technology – to the field of farming.[1] Agtech is a relatively new phenomenon emerging in the last decade to address increasing concerns about food security for the growing global population and the diminishing viability of farming.[2]
