Acraea burni

Acraea burni, the pale-yellow acraea, is a butterfly of the family Nymphalidae. It is found in South Africa, Swaziland, Zimbabwe, eastern Zambia and southern Malawi.

The wingspan is 45–50 mm (1.8–2.0 in) for males and 49–53 mm (1.9–2.1 in) for females. Adults are on wing year round, with a peak from September to April.[2]

The larvae feed on Laportea peduncularis, Pouzolzia mixta and Obetia tenax.

Taxonomy

Acraea burni is sometimes treated as a subspecies of Acraea obeira.
