AKM Jahan Hosan is a Bangladesh Awami League politician and the incumbent Member of Parliament from Patuakhali-3.

Career

Hosan was elected to Parliament from Patuakhali-3 in 1991, 1996, and 2001 as a Bangladesh Awami League candidate. He was made the State Minister of Textiles in 1998 in the First Sheikh Hasina Cabinet.[1] He did not received the nomination for 2008 general election from Bangladesh Awami League for his support for reforms in the league during the 2006–08 Bangladeshi political crisis. The nomination went to The nomination went to Golam Maula Rony.[2] In 2013 he was removed from all committees of Bangladesh Awami League.[3] He was elected to Parliament from Patuakhali-3 on 5 January 2014.[4]
