A-Film

A-Film (in full A-Film Benelux B.V.[1]) was an independent film distributor, based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The company was founded in 1999 and has an office in Pand Noord in Amsterdam-Noord, in which several companies in the film industry are located. A-Film distributed films produced both in the Netherlands, such as Phileine Says Sorry and Black Book, and outside of the Netherlands, such as Hello Kitty videos, A Fistful of Dollars, The Pianist, Dances with Wolves and Bowling for Columbine for the Benelux.

History

The company was formerly called A-Film Distribution, in May 2013 A-Film and Benelux Film Distributors merged and continued as A-Film Benelux B.V. [1] In September 2015, A-Film Benelux B.V. was declared bankrupt.
