1962–63 Iraq Central FA First Division
The 1962–63 Iraq Central FA First Division was the 15th season of the Iraq Central FA League (the top division of football in central Iraq, including the capital city of Baghdad, from 1948 to 1974), and the first since returning to the name of First Division. Seven teams competed in the tournament.[1] Montakhab Al-Shorta won the first league title in the history of Al-Shorta,[2] beating Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya 1–0 to clinch the title.[3]
