History

Formed in 1975, the squadron first flew the A-4 Skyhawk from Changi Airbase before moving to Tengah later the same year. In late 1980, it was the first to operate the newly upgraded version of the A-4 aircraft, the A-4SU Super Skyhawk. In 1997, the squadron relinquished all its remaining A-4SU Super Skyhawks to 150 Squadron for use in the Advanced Jet Training (AJT) program and was subsequently disbanded. The squadron was reformed in 2003 to operate the F-16C/Ds.
