Zaibunnisa Street

Zaibunnisa Street is a famous street in Karachi, Pakistan located in the Saddar Town area in the heart of the city and named after Zaib-un-Nissa Hamidullah.[1]

History

It used to be one of the most prestigious shopping areas in Karachi before the newly-built shopping malls in the suburban areas of Karachi came along after the 1980s. Zaibunnisa Street shopping area is known for having a huge number of watch, clock and jewelry shops, large clothing stores for women and men as well as shoe stores.[2][1]

The old name for Zaibunnisa Street was Elphinstone Street and it is right next to another popular and famous shopping area of Karachi, called Bohri Bazaar.[3][1][4][5]
