Yuri Evgenievich Lyapkin (born January 21, 1945 in Balashikha, Soviet Union) is a retired ice hockey player who played in the Soviet Hockey League as a defenseman.[1] He played for HC Spartak Moscow. He won a gold medal playing for the undefeated Soviet Union team at the 1976 Olympics.[1][2] He also won world championships with the Soviet team in 1970/71, 72/73, 73/74, and 74/75, and a silver medal in 75/76.[3] He was inducted into the Russian and Soviet Hockey Hall of Fame in 1973. He is Jewish.[1][2]
