The yellow-green tanager, formerly yellow-green bush tanager (Bangsia flavovirens) is a species of bird traditionally placed in the family Thraupidae, subsequently moved (with the rest of Chlorospingus) to Arremonops in the Passerellidae. Recent molecular analysis has discovered that this species may in fact be closer to Bangsia in Thraupidae.[2] It is found in Colombia and Ecuador. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forest and subtropical or tropical moist montane forest. It is threatened by habitat loss.
