The 2021 World Games will be the eleventh World Games, a major international multi-sport event, meant for sports, or disciplines or events within a sport, that were not contested in the Olympic Games. It is scheduled to be held from July 15 to 25, 2021 in Birmingham, Alabama, United States. It was chosen by the International World Games Association on January 22, 2015.[1]

Bidding process

Birmingham's bid was presented by David Benck, Edgar Welden, and Lil Scotty Meyers. The cities that bid for the 2021 games were:

The final decision was announced on January 22, 2015, in Lausanne, awarding the 2021 World Games to Birmingham.[2][3]

Venues

In addition to Legion Field, Barber Motorsports Park[4] will also be a prime venue for the Games.
