Witold Taszycki

Witold Taszycki (20 June 1898 – 8 August 1979) was a Polish linguist. Since 1939 he was a member of the Polish Academy of Sciences.

Founder of the most influential school of thought in the Slavic onomatology.

In the 1929—1941 and 1944 he was a professor at the Lviv University, since 1946 at the Jagiellonian University.
