William Clarke (born 11 April 1985) is an Australian professional road racing cyclist who currently rides for EF Education First–Drapac p/b Cannondale in the UCI World Tour. Clarke previously rode stagiaire with Ag2r–La Mondiale (2010) in the UCI World Tour while signed to Praties (2008–2010) in the UCI Oceania Tour.[1] He also competed for Leopard Trek (2011) in the UCI World Tour,[2] Champion System (2012) in the UCI Asia Tour,[3] and Argos–Shimano (2013) in the UCI World Tour.[4] Before moving to Cannondale–Drapac (2017–2018) in the UCI World Tour, Clarke rode for Drapac Professional Cycling (2014–2016) in the UCI Oceania Tour, which served as Cannondale–Drapac's development stable.[5] He signed with Trek–Segafredo, for the 2019 and 2020 seasons, on the UCI World Tour. Clarke was born, raised, and resides on his family's 8,100 hectare (20,000-acre) farm near Campbell Town, Tasmania, Australia. He is not related to fellow Australian cyclist and past teammate Simon Clarke.
