Wesley Poe

Wesley Poe (born 1982) is a professional basketball player who plays for Nashville Broncs.

Early life

Poe is originally from Jackson, Tennessee. He prepped at Jackson Central-Merry High School where he was a member of the boys' basketball team from 1997–2001, and assisted the team to its first Sub-State appearance in 25 years.

College Career Highlights

He attended Trevecca Nazarene University from 2001 until 2005.

Poe broke the school record for blocks in a single season as a freshman. He tied the school record for dunks in a game with 4. He led the team in rebounding all four years at Trevecca. Poe finished his four-year career at Trevecca with 862 rebounds (5th all-time) and 1,420 points (8th all-time). He also now holds school records with 617 career defensive rebounds and 146 career blocks.
