Vladan Milojević (born 9 March 1970) is a Serbian professional football manager and former footballer. He currently serves as the head coach of Serbian SuperLiga team Red Star Belgrade. During his playing career, he played as a defender.

Club career

Born in Aranđelovac, Milojević began playing football in the youth team of Red Star Belgrade, before playing for the first team of Yugoslav league sides FK Bečej and FK Radnički Novi Beograd.

Milojević moved to Greece in 1993, initially joining Greek second division side PAS Giannina and then helping Kalamata F.C. to gain promotion to the Greek first division. He would become the first foreign central defender, or libero, to play for Panathinaikos F.C. when he joined the club from Kalamata in July 1997.[1] He played a total of 177 matches[2] over 8.5 seasons in the Greek top flight, joining Iraklis F.C.[3] and Akratitos F.C. after leaving Panathinaikos in June 2000.[4]

Coaching career

After his playing career ended, Milojević began coaching. He was appointed coach of Iraklis academies in February 2008.[5] After that, he coached FK Čukarički with whom he won the Serbian Cup and played in the UEFA Europe League. From November 2015 to May 2016, he coached Cypriot team Omonia.[6][7]

In 2016, he was hired by Panionios.[8] In June he left the Greek club to sign with the Red Star Belgrade, where he won the league title in his first year.
