The AMA Journal of Ethics is a monthly peer-reviewed, open-access, MEDLINE-indexed, online-only medical journal covering medical ethics. It was established in 1999 as Virtual Mentor, obtaining its current name in 2015. It is published by the American Medical Association and the editor-in-chief is Audiey C. Kao (University of Chicago Medical Center).[2] It is student- and resident-driven, with twelve issue editors selected in November who work with editorial staff in Chicago on current ethical topics.[3]
