The first Principal of Vidya Niketan was Mr Singare. School is remembered presently on the name of its most admired Principal "Late Mr Tarapad Mukherjee".

This school is founded in year 1975 and being run by a trust named "Hindi Prachirini Sameeti, Chhindwara".
