Grand Ayatollah Hussain Vahid Khorasani (Arabic: حسین وحید الخراسانی Persian: حسین وحید خراسانی, born January 1, 1921) is one of the most senior Twelver Shia Marja' living in Iran after Ali Khamenei.[1][2][3]He is the head of Qom Seminary in Qom.
Biography
Hussain Vahid Khorasani was born in Nishapur, Iran on 1 January 1921.[4] He moved to Najaf, Iraq in 1940 and studied in Ayatollah Khoei Seminary (Hawza) and moved back to Iran in 1972. Currently, Khorasani residing in Qom and is considered as source of emulation.[5][6] He is also the father-in-law of Sadeq Larijani.[2][7]

Teachers
He started his eralier studies in Mashhad by learning Arabic literature from Mohammad Nahavandi and then completed the acquisition of religious knowledge from Mirza Mehdi Esfahani and Ayatollah Ashtiani.[8] He studied Rational sciences and philosophy from Abu al-Qasim Mirza and Mirza Mahdi Isfahani Elahi trained.At age of 27, he went to Najaf, and studied in seminars of Najaf under Mirza Hadi Shirazi, Ali Mohammad Boroujerdi, Muhsin al-Hakim and Abu al-Qasim al-Khoei.[9][10]

Grand Ayatollah Valid Khorasani has written many books some of which have been translated into Urdu,Persian,Arabic,English and other languages.[11][12] Some of his works are:
