Uttarpara Government High School (also known as Uttarpara Rastriya Uchcha Vidyalaya is a school situated in Uttarpara, a town near Serampore City in Hooghly District, West Bengal, India. It was established on the western bank of river Hooghly by Babu Jay Krishna Mukherjee in 16 May, 1846. The school is directly under the Government of West Bengal. The present Asst. Headmaster is Mr. Amal Kumar Sil. Headmaster is Mr. Paritosh De.

School session

The school session is from January to December. The school timings : 6:40 am to 10:20 am for class I to V. 10:50 am to 4:00 pm (Mon - Fri) for class VI to XII & 10:50 am to 1:40 pm (Sat) for class VI to XII. Sunday is the normal weekly holiday.

Uniform

The school uniform is navy blue shorts with white shirt up to grade (class) VIII and navy blue trousers with white shirt up to grade (class) IX onward. Grey trousers with white shirt up to grade (class) XII Those boys who are got admitted to this institution, school has made a regulation that those boy should have to were clean uniform each day.
