Thumatha fuscescens is a moth of the family Erebidae. It is found in Australia, South-East Asia, India, Sri Lanka, the Comoros, La Réunion, Madagascar and Gabon.[1][2]

Description

Wingspan is 16mm. Male has pale reddish brownish body. Fore wings possess traces of antemedial and postmedial waved lines. There is a black spot at end of cell and a spot on the costa before apex. Sub-marginal and marginal specks series present.[3]

Larva known to feeds on lichens and mosses.[4]
