Reverend Thomas Cecil Alexander (1884-1968) was the founder of the Scouting movement in the Malaysian state of Sabah, in Sandakan, and in the state of Sarawak, in Kuching in 1913. The Sarawak movement was later active only from 1930 onwards.

His big achievements for the Scout Movement were commemorated in the North Borneo Scout Movement Monument, which was unveiled 28 September 2013 in Sandakan, Sabah.
