The Pentecostal Church of God (Detroit)

The Pentecostal Church of God is a nontrinitarian, Pentecostal body, whose headquarters are in Detroit, Michigan The Church was established by the Apostle Reverend W. J. Peterson in 1955 after receiving the revelation of The Gospel, and has grown under the leadership of chosen Bishops. The Church is spread out across the United States with Bishops presiding over 4 distinct areas (districts). Ministries of the church include a Bible school, a "Women's Department", and a "Young People's Department".

The Pentecostal Church of God teaches one God (in spirit), one mediator (in flesh body) between God and men - Jesus Christ, and one Holy Ghost in the Church. These are three manifestations of one. In this they differ from other unitarian and "Jesus only" bodies by teaching that God is his office, but Jesus is his name. The Church also emphasize that there is salvation only by baptizing "in the name of Jesus" rather than "in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost". God is a spirit with many different titles, but with one name, Jesus Christ.

The Church is unrelated to the Pentecostal Church of God (Bedford, Texas) which is a trinitarian Pentecostal denomination based in Bedford, Texas.
