"The Edge of Forever" is a song by The Dream Academy.
The song was only originally released as a promotional single. However, its most famous use was towards the end in the 1986 film, Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Unlike another song from the band that was used in a film, "Power to Believe" (used in Planes, Trains & Automobiles), the vocal version was used, whereas the other song was instrumental.
