"The Devil's in the Details" is a 2017 pop song recorded by American singer Jennifer Paige. The song was written by Jennifer Paige and produced by Jeremy Bose.[1] It was released as the first single from her self-funded fourth album, Starflower. The music video for "The Devil's in the Details" will be released on March 3, 2017, and was filmed in Nashville.

Background

Paige partnered with producer Jeremy Bose to begin work on her fourth studio album in early 2016.[2] Funds for the album were raised through a Kickstarter campaign, where fans were able help cover album costs. "My plan was to create a simple acoustic-type album," Paige recalled. In regard to the change in sound she continued, "Once a pop girl, always a pop girl. Give me those synths over a guitar any day." [3] Paige clarified that the song is not a break up song. "This song speaks to the sometimes exhausting grind that troubles even the happiest of couples. Sometimes we just aren’t connecting, and it doesn’t have to be some over the top reason. It can be something so simple that begins to break us down. On first listen, this may seem like a break-up song, but it’s more a song about finding your way back when times get super tough.".[3]
