The Cygnet Ring were a band associated with the Madchester scene of 19891991 and best known for their song "Love Crime". The band was founded by singer Rus Harrison who had previously been in a local indie band called Playing At Trains and had gained a cult following around the late 1980s.

The Cygnet Ring released a number of 7" and 12" singles during their existence and recorded one full-length album called Hopeful Monsters.
