The Betrayal of the American Right is a book by Murray Rothbard written in the early 1970s and published by the Ludwig von Mises Institute in 2007.
In it, Rothbard describes the takeover of the Old Right by neoconservatives and cold warriors during the 1950s and 1960s. The book argues this change resulted in a negative shift in American politics, as the Old Right that supported small government and non-intervention in foreign affairs became a Republican party that promoted statism and anti-Communist policies around the world.
