Spur 216 is a state highway in Eagle Pass, Texas, connecting US 57 to US 277. It was known as Spur 16 until 2012.

History

Spur 216 was designated on November 23, 1948 from old US 67 to new US 67. On September 26, 1949, Spur 216 was cancelled and transferred to SH 144, while the old route of SH 144 became County Road 312. On August 28, 1958, a new route, designated as Loop 216, was designated from SH 24 (now SH 224) though Commerce to SH 24. This became Business State Highway 24-B on June 21, 1990, and Business State Highway 224-B on April 27, 2000. The current Spur 216 was designated on July 26, 2012 as a redesignation of Spur 16, which was reassigned to Spur 276.
