The Technological Educational Institute of Central Greece (TEISTE; Greek: Τεχνολογικό Εκπαιδευτικό Ίδρυμα Στερεάς Ελλάδας) is a Greek higher-educational institute founded in 2013.
History
The Technological Educational Institute of Chalkida (TEIHAL; Greek: Τεχνολογικό Εκπαιδευτικό Ίδρυμα Χαλκίδας) was a Greek higher-educational institute, founded in 1983. From 1986 to 2013 it was located in Psachna, Euboea near to the city of Chalkida. It comprised two schools: the School of Technological Applications and the School of Management and Finance.
Located in Lamia, the Technological Educational Institute of Lamia (TEILAM; Greek: Τεχνολογικό Εκπαιδευτικό Ίδρυμα Λαμίας) was founded in 1994 to provide higher technological education to the students of Greece.
It was composed of the following five Faculties:

- Department of Electronics Engineering
- Department of Electrical Engineering
- Department of Informatics Engineering
- Department of Automation Engineering
- Department of Mechanical Engineering
- Department of Aircraft Engineering
- Faculty of Health and Welfare Services
- Department of Nursing
- Department of Physiotherapy
- Faculty of Management and Economy
- Department of Logistics and Finance
- Department of Management, Economy and Communication of Cultural and Touristic Units
- Department of Systems Equipment Management
- Faculty of Agriculture Technology, Food Technology and Nutrition
- Department of Forestry and Natural Environment Management
The Technological Educational Institute of Lamia was separated from the Technological Educational Institute of Larisa in 1994. T.E.I. of Chalkida and Lamia merged in 2013 to form the Technological Educational Institute of Central Greece. In October 2017, minister of Education Constantinos Gavroglou, specified that, all Technological and Educational Institutions will be merged with the corresponding Universities, as European Union determined. T.E.I. of Central Greece and T.E.I. of Thessaly will be merged with the University of Thessaly and each department will be absorbed by the corresponding university department. The Institutions' facilities in Lamia, Chalkida and Larisa will be remained for the establishment and development of new and old faculties correspondingly.
